Batteries 101
Solar batteries function by using the same current generated by the solar panels. The solar panels produce DC energy that converts to AC power through a standard solar inverter. The inverter provides the solar electricity to the home. Extra electricity is stored within the battery for subsequent use.
A separate inverter is necessary to convert power that is stored within the battery. However, certain solar batteries have inverters integrated inside of the system itself.
Once the solar battery is added, electricity will still be sent back to the grid after the battery is 100% charged. A best practice when designing a residential battery energy system is to handle emergency dedicated circuits before others.
Examples of such dedicated circuits include the refrigerator, water pump, internet router, kitchen receptacles, security system and security lighting. We have also installed many battery systems that can offset all the loads to a home or business.
There are many ways your commercial business can utilize the battery storage system outside of an emergency setting. Batteries are also used to offset demand charges as they can be controlled to operate during higher peak time frames.
These systems are engineered with precision as we need to integrate other technology for all loads to work in sequence with each other. Designing the battery storage energy system is a very intricate design process.
As we have experience installing batteries of all sizes from 8 kilowatt to 1 Megawatt, we can be a valuable resource for your small or large micro-grid project.
Our mission is to help you use the micro grid system for commercial batteries to power your organization in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. Once your microgrid is installed, you will be on your way to truly 100% clean and renewable energy that keeps your business well-powered across posterity.
